Product Care

Everything we make comes from material that has already had one life. These notes cover how to look after it, and what changes are simply the material carrying on.

Our products are crafted using reclaimed and surplus materials, each selected for its durability, character, and ability to be reimagined. Variations in texture, tone, and finish are natural outcomes of these materials' previous lives and are integral to every piece we make.

Reclaimed tyre tube

Used across products for its strength, flexibility, and resilience.

Daily care and cleaning

Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or surface marks. Minor white marks or surface variations are natural and may be reduced with regular cleaning.

Conditioning

Occasionally apply coconut oil and polish lightly with a clean, dry cloth to restore depth of colour and a subtle sheen.

Colour transfer

Due to the nature of reclaimed rubber, slight colour transfer may occur with excessive friction, heat, or humidity. Avoid prolonged rubbing against clothing, and be cautious when wearing white or light-coloured garments, especially in warm conditions.

Natural odour

A mild rubber scent may be present initially. This will fade with use. If you are sensitive to it, store the product in a well-ventilated, shaded space for a few days before use.

Reclaimed and surplus textiles

Including denim, canvas, industrial fabrics, and surplus cloth sourced for durability and texture.

Daily care and cleaning

Spot clean using a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and water. Avoid soaking or machine washing unless explicitly stated for the product.

Colour transfer

Bleeding in dark and raw denim is completely normal. Colour bleeding may be reduced by soaking in a mixture of one part white vinegar to five parts water for 15 minutes, then washing thoroughly twice. Wash in cold water if required. Be cautious when wearing white or light-coloured garments, especially in warm conditions.

Drying and storage

Always air-dry in a shaded area. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading.

Wear and patina

Fraying, softening, or tonal shifts may occur over time and are considered part of the material's natural evolution.

Metal hardware and components

Including buckles, rings, zippers, and fasteners.

Care

Wipe occasionally with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove moisture and residue. Please don't attempt to close the bag when it is overloaded, as this may damage the zipper. If any thread, cloth, or other object is jammed in the zipper slider, remove it gently before opening or closing the zipper. Ensure metal components are fully dry after exposure to rain or humidity.

Ageing

Minor scratches, dulling, or patina may develop with use and are intentional characteristics of utilitarian hardware.

General care and storage

Keep away from sharp objects. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat, moisture, or direct sunlight. When not in use, store your product in a breathable fabric bag or shaded area. Do not overfill, as this may distort shape or stress seams over time.
